Other Resources
You will be assigned a User Name (sometimes called a "WebCT ID") and Password to log into WebCT. They are the same ones you use for Wright State's WebMail, to log onto computers in Wright State computer labs, and for a number of other Wright State services.
After you arrive at the WebCT Entry Page at wisdom.wright.edu, you will see a link saying "Logon WebCT".
When you click on this link, you will be presented with the login window. Enter your User Name and Password exactly as it was given to you. Warning! The login is case sensitive. This means it knows the difference between upper and lower case! If your User ID is w001abc, you cannot enter W001abc or w001ABC
Logging in and out of myWebCT
Once you have successfully logged into myWebCT, your login ID and password will be retained by the browser until you exit WebCT.
First, this means that to log out you must click the "LOGOUT" link at the top of a page in WebCT.
Secondly, it allows you to vist links outside the WebCT program without having to login again. You can also bookmark any page in WebCT and the login prompt will appear on the bookmarked page rather than at the myWebCT page.
When you visit links outside WebCT, be aware that the browser sometimes opens a second window. If you are having problems, check the taskbar to see if there is more than one copy of the browser open. Click on the taskbar icon for the window you want to view.
If you have problems
If you have problems logging into WebCT, explore the Logon Problems page in the WebCT entry site. Or call the Wright State Help Desk, (937) 775-4827.

There may, however be other reasons why you cannot access your learning materials. These include:
- your Internet Service Provider may be experiencing difficulties
- the WebCT server may be experiencing difficulties
- you may have more than one copy of your browser open
- you may be trying to access the incorrect course
- the Internet may be having a particularly bad day
There are many more reasons that can cause frustration. Internet access is becoming more demanding, telephone lines are slow, servers have bottlenecks. Please explore some of these avenues before contacting the Help Desk.
