First time here? Four steps to your online classes

Step 1: Change your campus password at the start of each quarter.

If you have not set a new password for the quarter, log into the WINGS portal and change your password. This will prevent your password from expiring in the middle of the quarter. You will find the "Change Password" link near your name at the top left of the page in WINGS. To log into WINGS, WebCT and other Wright State services, you will need your campus user name and password.

Don't know your campus user name or password?

As a Wright State student, you should already have gotten your campus user name and password. If not, call the Help Desk. Your user name will look something like “w001abc” but with different letters and numbers. It's the same user name you use at Wright State for WINGS and other online services.

  • Contact the Help Desk, 025 Library Annex, (937) 775-4827 or toll free at 1 (888) 775-4827.

Step 2: Come to wisdom.wright.edu and log on.

Once you have your user name and password, just use a recent version of Netscape or Internet Explorer to come here to the Course Entry Page at wisdom.wright.edu. Then click the big yellow Logon button. When the next page appears, type your campus username and password and click Logon.

Step 3: Click your course’s name

After you log on, you should see your myWebCT page, with your name near the top. To go to your course, click the hyperlinked course’s name under the Courses heading on the left.

Step 4: Click “LOGOUT” to exit

To exit, click the “LOGOUT” link at the top of your course page or at the top of your myWebCT page.

If you have problems getting to your course, please contact the Help Desk. They won't help you with homework, but they can reset your password and help you log on and access course materials.

Help Desk hours during the quarter

  • Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. to midnight
  • Friday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon to midnight

Stay in touch with Wright State through WINGS

Wright State posts announcements, grades and other official communications to your Wright State email account, which you can access through “WINGS” with the same user name and password you use for your online courses.

When are courses available?

Courses may not show on your myWebCT page until the first day of the quarter at 8 a.m. If you registered for an online course that isn’t there after the quarter has started, please call or e-mail the instructor or academic department. See the Wright State Directory for e-mail addresses.
